“Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.” 1 Timothy 4:12
About US
Mission Venice started back in 2003 with a simple idea—a group of students wanted to serve their city for Jesus. They met before school, brainstorming and planning ways to make an impact. That first year, they gathered students from different churches and youth groups, committing to spend the first week of their summer serving others.
Since then, hundreds of students have jumped in, giving their time and energy to make a difference in Venice. We’ve picked up trash, helped out in senior communities, pulled weeds, laid mulch, sorted food at pantries, and painted fences and buildings. No job is too small when it comes to showing our love for Jesus to our city!
Mission Venice is all about living out Mark 10:45 “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” These students put their faith into action right in their own hometown. Like Jesus said in Mark 10:45, He came not to be served, but to serve—and that’s exactly what we strive to do.
We believe that even the smallest acts of kindness can make a big impact. So if you’re looking for a way to give back and be part of something bigger, come join us!
